Today, Feb. 28th, the BLM helped celebrate Rare Disease Day. Russell Mellen presented his work to develop an AAV-CRISPR/Cas9- based approach for a pediatric retinal disease, cone-rod dystrophy. Dr. Kaitlyn Calabro presented her work to develop a dual AAV vector-mediated therapy for MYO7A Usher syndrome. We also took time out to pose for silly pictures. Proud of my students and postdocs for focusing on patients with rare disease!
