COVID-19 has changed everything. I’ve become a 6th and 4th grade teacher on top of being a PI. My students, postdocs, and staff have carefully navigated social distancing rules to do a much reduced number of experiments, but have made up for time lost in lab by writing grants and manuscripts. We all look sad during this zoom lab meeting because, well, we are. We miss our routines, we miss each other, and we miss the old ‘normal’. Can’t wait until this is all over so we can go back to doing science together the way we used to!
