About Diego S Fajardo

Diego Fajardo received his PhD in Plant molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Florida. He has conducted research involving the application of molecular and genetic techniques to understanding how biological processes work and applying that knowledge to try to develop solutions to biological problems. His research experience has been very broad – from plant genetics at the beginning of his career to synthetic biology and development of genome-targeted diagnostics products. His research focuses on helping develop AAV vector therapies for genes involved in inherited retinal disorders.
